Searching for balance

With my September of yoga, I’m finding my pinspiration is taking a different angle. Apologies for the next few weeks. You probably won’t find my regular running and workout images this month.

It turns out this focus is exactly what I need right now. I’m anxious about some life things and feeling some pressure and turmoil. It’s not negative necessarily – in fact, it could be exciting – but it’s unknown and unsettling right now.

Yoga practice provides me a way to center my thoughts and emotions; to work through the stress and release any tension. My goal of doing inversions (head stand to start please!) gives me something to work toward. And I have to say, given the current heat wave, it’s quite nice to have a goal that does not include running outside. Running and I will be happily reunited when the cool weather comes. For now, I’m thoroughly enjoying a diversion.

My motivation today is about simplifying life. I absolutely over–complicate and over–think things. The challenge is to better balance things and enjoy more.

P.S. Adam Levine doing yoga? Enough said.

Do you over–complicate things in life?
How do you better balance those things?

Thank you! It’s so easy to forget how important time for yourself is. We all know it! Not always so great at making it work in a crazy schedule.
